Introducing New Wines



Elouan is the result of Californian winemaker, Joe Wagner, venturing up to Oregon, one of the world’s renowned Pinot Noir regions, with a goal to produce Pinot Noir with depth of flavor, vibrancy and suppleness. For this wine we brought together fruit from three regions along Oregon’s coast; Umpqua, Willamette and Rogue Valleys, which harmonize beautifully when blended as one. The diversity of these cool climate areas combined with an elongated growing season creates wine with intense structure, while maintaining a vibrant acidity that differentiates it from any California Pinot Noir

This Pinot Noir is richer and more full bodied than what is typical of Oregon Pinot Noir, which generally is very lean. Bright ruby red in color. Ripe cranberry, sweet cinnamon and fresh cherry create an inviting bouquet, with a subtle earthiness. The palate shows texture and weight with firm acidity that carries the flavor through. The flavor profile shows red plum, bright cherry, minerality, dusty earth, and a hint of sweet tobacco, creating rustic layers of flavor with soft refined tannins.

Upon maturation the grapes are selected and placed in small wooden boxes, where a traditional withering of over 3 months follows. Vinification technique: a slight pressing of the grapes precedes a partial removal of the stalks. After that a maceration of 10-12 days follows, at a low temperature (1-2° C), which favors a higher concentration of primary fragrances. With the progressive increase of temperature a spontaneous alcoholic fermentation starts, which continues at controlled temperature (13- 15° C) in conditions of partial anaerobia for over 30-35 days. REFINEMENT: the Amarone classico doc Vaona wine is refined in mid-size durmast wood barrels (12.5 hectoliters) for 18 months and an additional period of 5 months in bottles.
COLOUR: burgundy red
BOUQUET: intense with characteristic scents of cherry complemented by spicy notes. TASTING NOTES: elegant tannic structure, well balanced and powerful wine

Aged 16 months in French oak, 40% new oak.15.1% Alc./Vol




The Prisioner

Red Blend

The Prisoner was created and inspired by the drinkable “mixed blacks” first made by the Italian immigrants who originally settled in the Napa Valley. Launched in 2003, The Prisoner soon became the most recognized innovative and unique Napa Valley Red Wine blend, leading the resurgence of blends by incorporating Zinfandel with the unlikely “mix” of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Charbono.
The wine features enticing aromas of bing cherry, espresso, and roasted fig. Persistent flavors of ripe raspberry, pomegranate and wild berry linger harmoniously for a smooth and luscious finish.
